The inspirations for the
setting created at Markaz stem from the Indian and Arabic
culture both of which have a common Islamic heritage. These
themes are reflected in the décor which includes intricately
carved woodwork and beautiful mosaic fountains.
The
warm hospitality of the two cultures, which emphasizes the
sharing of food and communal eating, is introduced through
platters which give the option of sampling and sharing a
number of different foods. |
